Use PSP to make an images to a seamless pattern

	STEP 1 If you have an image and you decide to take it to be the background in you page, in most cases, you will find the seams in the edge of the pattern. PSP has the function to smooth the edge and create a seamless pattern. Use File/Open... to open the image. If the image is of 256 colors, use Colors/Increase Color Depths/16 Million Colors (24 bit) to transfer the image to be of true color mode.

	STEP 2 Choose Selection tool and select an area in the image. The selection area can not be too close to the edge of the image. The Margin at least 15% of dimension of the whole image is needed.

	STEP 3 Choose Image/Special Effects/Create Seamless Pattren, and you will get the smoothed-edge pattern like the left figure. Choose File/Save As to save it in GIF or JPEG format.
	Now we can take the new image as background. You will find the pattern is seamless and more natural than before.
